Team

Your guides

We are a close-knit team with a large network. We rely on partners in those countries where we do not know the language or do not have the in-depth knowledge. These individuals share our vision and values and work in the same way. Throughout the project, we remain in close dialogue with them so we can learn from each other’s learnings, enriching your journey further.

Marc Van Tendeloo
'The craftsman'

Marc is our ‘craftsman’. Having worked in market access since the first HTA bodies were set up in Canada, Australia and UK in the late nineties, Marc has experienced the evolution in the market access sphere first hand. Marc will not rest before he has understood the science of a project, has figured out where and from whom he can get the information needed to bring relevant insights into the project.

Marc has a degree in psychology and applied economics, an ideal blend for this job. In addition, Marc has held various positions in global business development in the pharma industry, giving him an excellent ‘inside view’ of what our customers require.

Marc is a Belgian national based in Italy. With his fluency in English, French, Italian and Dutch, Marc is ideally placed to conduct high level payer interviews in the local languages in key European countries and beyond.

Cathy Clerinx
'The organizer'

Cathy is the ‘organizer’ of the partnership. Her interest in market access and pricing was sparked when she was director at Adelphi’s Global Research team, and when ‘payers’ emerged as a ‘fourth hurdle’ in the late nineties. Cathy quickly realized that research on market access issues needs to be managed very differently from classical primary research. While at Adelphi, she also trained her talent for organization and management of complex and challenging research projects.

Cathy supports Marc on fieldwork and analysis of projects. She likes to take a step back and focus on the “so what’s” of what we learn. Her logical and analytical mind will make sure that the final deliverables are consistent. She’s also the project manager and keeps a close eye on deadlines.

Cathy has a degree in economics. A Belgian national, she spent 10 years in the pharmaceutical industry in Global and affiliate roles in the US, UK and Switzerland. Cathy is fluent in French, Dutch, English and has excellent notions of Spanish and German.

Brigitte Blanco
'Our gateway to the Americas'

Brigitte is our gateway to the USA and Latin-America. A German national living in the US, with strong ties to South America, and with years of experience personally conducting interviews with payers in English, German and Spanish, Brigitte shares our philosophy towards market access research.

With her deep interest in getting to the essence of the problem discussed, her personal involvement in all aspects of the project, and her excellent sense of synthesis, she is a perfect addition to the AX’S Consulting team.

Brigitte has an in-depth understanding of the US healthcare system, a wide payer network to draw from, and an interview style that gets her to the answers we need. She also has an excellent understanding of the European, Latin American and key Asian markets, which is of great assistance when designing global projects.

Josep Buchaca
'Our partner in Spain'

His knowledge of the complex healthcare system in Spain is second to none. He has a deep understanding of its regional and local HTA and market access peculiarities. Throughout the years, Josep has built up an impressive network of payer contacts at all levels of the system, from which he draw.

Josep is also actively involved in supporting asset managers in leading investment banks with market and market access input for investment decisions.
